Once registered, available packages are shown based on your country and circumstances, and your visa is processed alongside your package booking rather than as a separate standalone application. Through the eVisa portal, the process is a more familiar three step online application: fill in the form, pay the applicable fee, and receive your visa electronically, without it needing to be linked to a specific package.
The Vaccination Requirement People Forget
Regardless of which visa path you use, every pilgrim aged one year and older needs to show proof of a quadrivalent MenACWY meningitis vaccine before entering Saudi Arabia. According to the Meningitis Research Foundation, this certificate needs to be issued at least ten days before you arrive, and the conjugate version of the vaccine is generally preferred because it stays valid for five years, compared to three years for the older polysaccharide version. This isn't just a formality either. Meningococcal outbreaks have genuinely been linked to mass gatherings like Hajj and Umrah in the past, so it's a sensible precaution well beyond just satisfying the entry requirement. International travel health authorities confirm the same requirement and note it applies as part of the standard visa application process.
Timing Your Application Sensibly
